TopTens really that good?
What are they like fit-wise?
Do they hold up well?
I remember joking that their competition head gear had the same consistancy as a truck tire.
As per the IMF gloves from Ringside, I've got the velcro ones and they're pretty much the best glove I've ever used.
I love the way Grants fit the best - but they don't have good cushioning, don't protect the knuckles or the partner.
Those IMF gloves REFUSE to break down. I've had my pair over a year, I use them all the time, and they feel & look like they've just been broken in. The padding is ample and the weight is balanced. I don't hurt my knuckles with those gloves and every sparring partner I've shown them to has agreed that the padding is generous (but not too squishy like Ringside Ultimate Classics).
Yeah, I think they're that good. The cushioning has a certain shape that provides much better protection for both hands and opponent than most other gloves. They last really good as well.
Their old plastic headgear was atricious. Getting hit with those on, hurt more than getting hit without headgear. In some instances, I even think it was responsible for cuts, rather than protecting against them. Their new headgear is really good, though. Much better than Adidas and Everlast, which are the only other brands approved for Aiba and international boxing.
These are the ones I have. 10oz. I would highly reccomend them. They are very comfy and my hands never hurt or even go red after using them.
ut I am gonna get some more after reading all of ya'll train with 16's lol. But, I dont have much so I will probably get some boots instead. These ones.
Yeh? Are they one size fits all? I might just have to take your advice, I have never wore a pair of lace ups whats the difference?
For me personally, I feel that the lace ups provide better support around my wrists whereas when I'm wearing hook and loop style gloves, I feel like the support is more around my mid forearm and less towards my wrists. I don't know if that makes sense but lace ups just feel much more firm and fitted to me than do hook and loop style gloves.

Yeah, Green Hill headgear's good as well. They're not licensed by Aiba anymore though, so you can't use them for international competition. If you notice people wearing them at the 2007 World Championships, you'll see that all Green Hill logo's were taped over. This was because the ban on Green Hill was just imposed at that time, and some squads were given dispensation to use them at the event.
I see the Green Hill headgear as an improved version of the Everlast am headgear (lighter, better fit, softer on the inside), and the new Top Ten headgear as a further improvement on Green Hill.
