  • For my fellow Brits!

Any of you guys find this current heatwave makes your running feel twice as hard!

I'm Super Heavyweight, current 17st 4lbs and I usually run my 3 miles in around 26 mins, but this heat has me seriously drained and feeling it after 1 mile!

Anyone else have the same problem?

I've been sweating more than usual, but to be honest I'm just pleased we have a bit of heat.

About 5 mins before I clicked on this thread there was thunder where I am and now it's pouring down with rain. No running for me today

Oh my lord the last few days have been gruelling. Really nice socially, sat outside with my friends etc but it's never good to be sweating on the way to the gym! It's about 40 mins away from me and by the time I was there I was boiling and sweating just from the heat, a reasonably small gym with alot of guys in there working out was just a killer for heat. As for running, after 3 miles in that heat I was dead on my feet for a few minutes. I love the sun but it's no fun to run in.

Don't think I'll go running till about 9pm!

I'm sweating just typing on a soft touch keyboard much less running!

God bless our weather! It'll be hailstones followed by snow next week! lol

Exactly! 9pm is the perfect time but tonight i'm going at 7:30 because my running partner needs to. That's shifted from 3 or 4pm because of the heat.
