Try sparring with your waist tied to another boxer with just enough rope so both of you are just at the end of glove range. Not hard sparring, mind you, just heavy enough to make you take your defense seriously. It forces you to stay in the danger zone and develop a more dynamic defense.
you know what...thats the best damn idea i've heard on here yet..lol..thanks..but u def right...i dodge way too much..i do realize that tho..so i'm def tryna work on it 4sure..i like the rope thing tho..ima do that..plus when i'm sparring with smaller guys..i done mind either stayen close..lol

Hey man i noticed everytime u try to dodge or move out the way you step directly back try to move side to side and fight unprodictively change up your rythm and steps when fighting...Also try to step in and smother punches youll find somtimes that will help you out and block a punch better then moving away, because you may find openings easier...once in awhile...And last thing if you practice coming toward the punches youll notice it starts to take away that glove shy reaction of throwing ur self back... And relax dont waste so much energy did u see how relaxed the thia fighter was id watch more boxing and study the technique more.
