i think its partially a mental thing, imagine your exploding into your punch and they become more powerful.

ji think of my right as a bullet that seems to have helped my speed and power

i feel like i should start talking about zen

naa it wont be mental there kinda lyk pullups without the pull so there guaranteed to build muscle and power.... also they probably give more flexibility aswel which another good factor. well done for finding that by the way, ive never seen that before... u got a schematic online for it??

these were the first two that came up when i googled "building a campus board". they seem to be pretty good. the first one looks like it's for someone with an engineering degree! these will get you unbelievable strong and powerful. when i was using this 2 or 3 days a week, i could climb a 25' wall with just my arms, and "dyno" (when you launch yourself, feet and hands off the wall, from a lower spot on the wall to a spot much higher) about 17 feet off the wall. be careful at first that you take it easy and dont ruin the tendons in your hands. there are beginner excercises that are important to do before anything crazy.

Well what i did, and i think it worked out pretty well is to shadow box with either like 1 or 2 pound hand weights or a bungie cord that goes around your back and you hold on to one end with each hand, so you get resistance.

So many posts to quote. Well my main point wasn't about increasing power, I didn't really make myself clear although it never hurts to have more advice on it so thanks guys.
I'm 17, 165lbs, 5'10. Basicely average in everything for size I guess. See what I was saying was i'm still maybe growing although I doubt it, I haven't filled out yet, basicely i'm not in my physical peak yet. So I was wondering if my punching power would increase and still develop till i'm mature or is this basicely it at 17?

How lean are you? I'm 18 and 5 10', 180 lbs or 83 kg, but i've got about 8 kg of fat on me. So if your lean, then your definitely filled out, either that or you've got big legs, all 3 of them.

I think it depends on what you mean by power. Sum people say- just get on the heavy, however this won't increase your power (in the true definition of the term), this will, however, increase arm stamina, if you have more arm stamina then you will be able to maintain the power you have- get it?
So at the end of the heavy bag set, you will still be throwing punches with the same power as the start.
Now to increase actual power (force), I recommend powerlifting- it isn't "weightlifting," it isn't "bodybuilding"- its POWERlifting. This includes: benchpress, deadlifts, and weighted squats. So I suggest you do some research on it, benchpress is undoubtedly the top priority for you, notice how remarkedly similar closegrip benchpress is to a punch? The others will support core strength, which also help, esp. in crosses and hooks.
