In my opinion, that physique in page 1 of this thread is attainable, you just need to train hard. Remember do lots and lots of "core" work i.e. pull ups, press ups, dips etc and "functional weight training, talk to your trainer about them. Also please remember a good physique is more a byproduct of boxing training, looking good is not as important as winning fights.... you do boxing with the aim of knocking people out.

Run like a four legged animal.....

I mean damn.. why don't boxers run anymore... It does so much for you. Its starting to piss me off.. It answers so many of everyones questions.

        When I have.............

Weight problems? - I Run alot

Stamina issues? - I Run alot

Wanna get cut after time off from the gym? - I Run alot

Definition in parts of my body that i cant seem to get it in? - I Run alot.

Wanted to try out that dancing style of ali but didn't have the stamina/endurance to do it? - I Ran alot.

and worked on jab which was KEY for that last one.

look just try it for a week.. not even a month.. you'll feel great.

I won't tell you to follow my eating habits but Running is something everyone can do. and get prettty much the same result.

The first 2 years of boxing I never touched weights and my arms and stomach got toned and pumped like never b4 and that was just from running, bagwork, skipping, groundwork and general stuff you do in the boxing gym, IV started 2 take up weights now for extra power if anything but I don't go to hard on them.

You're absolutely right. Running builds an insane amount of stamina, as well as skill, and it's also a great way to release stress and adrenaline. Also, a great way to lose a cell phone (which happened today haha).

But seriously, if you start running three miles a day, six times a week you will not only gain stamina, but a serious lean body. Do that for a month with a diet of nothing but protein, chicken, fish, salads, and your body will dig it. You don't have to stick to a strict as steel insane diet, just eliminate some junk and get some serious excercise and you'll start getting the results you want.

It's just what works. I don't understand why people don't go "back to basics" when it comes to tried and true efforts.
