i FOUND A PAIR OF 1LB WEIGHTED GLOVES AT KMART FOR LIKE AROUND 10 DOLLARS. THEY DO THE same thang. you can also get weighted gloves as much as 3.5 lbs per glove.

I used to do that everyday but stopped cuz my punching was outta synce with my footwork. I was punching way too fast, so I only do it one day out the week.

Well, I found . Although you could probably find something at a better price. I've never used this, or even anything like it, so I can't really speak on how well it works. I honestly don't even know if using a resistance band is a good idea at all. But if you try it, let us know how you like it and if it works, how effective it is.

its my secret, since I was little Ive shadowboxed sometimes a half hour straight with 3 to 5 pound dumbells. Thats why Im so fast. When I dont do it for awhile I lose alot of my speed and explosiveness. I throw the punches just like I would regulerly though, not slow.

not a huge fan of punching with weights - i used to do it. it does help with some conditioning aspects, but it has it's limits as to how much speed can be developed with it. good speed can be trained even more efficiently through the regular practice of relaxation with proper coordination in light shadowboxing or target practice. there are way too many aspects of speed as well as different kinds of speed to be able to discuss even a fraction of them here.

the resistance bands will only help train you to arm punch better. so just make sure not to build bad habits from certain resistance training.

I like to do a couple rounds of shadowboxing with 2lbs in each hand, I do find it helps a little with speed, I find it helps especially with conditioning, which will in the end, help speed, when you would otherwise be getting tired.

Also,if you don't mind looking like a pyscho, shadowboxing at a local pool is not a poor idea at all.

EDIT: ****ed up, I use 2 POUNDS, not kgs

using heavy weights is bad. It will mess with your balance. If you are shadowboxing I would recomend using a maximum of 3lb weights. Punching power comes through technique, not big strong muscles. Just look at Tommy Hearns.
