does the speed bag really develope hand speed?

it dont feel like it does at all..maybe it developes hand eye cordination, and rhythem....but i dont see how it makes you any quicker...

the double end bag i feel is the right tool for developing hand speed.

Also, the double end bag is perhaps the most important thing for you because it builds accuracy in your punches as well as timing. It's very important.

I thought the speed bag was just for hand-eye coordination. I think it's just called a speed bag because it was thought back then to develop speed? Or maybe because it moves so fast? I don't know, I'm no boxing expert; only nutrition. =D
