I've said it before: Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is proceeding DESPITE your fear.
Everybody who steps through the ropes gets scared. That's why we do it; to train ourselves to OVERCOME fear. To face our fear, to recognize it, to even become comfortable with it; and in so doing, we learn to function under stresses that would completely paralyze all but maybe one out of a hundred people you'll ever meet -- including myself, before I started boxing.
That ability to function -- to fight valiantly, and strive for life, and to think and strategize, and ultimately to survive -- in the face of raw, crippling, animal fear is what separates a fighter's mind from the mind of that other 99%.
Avoid your fear and you'll be a slave to it forever. Acknowledge it; it's your brain telling you, "Hey, uh, we're doing something dangerous." Get used to the feeling, so that whenever fear raises its head you can say, "I've got it under control. We're cool, here." Fear never goes away. You just learn to push it aside, grit your teeth, and get to work.
Spend your ring time being a slave to your fear and you'll spend your ring time getting the crap beaten out of you.
Keep your gloves up.

being ****y abit could help psych up and trash talk. it give you more confidence.
if you put i little though of getting beaten that you will get beaten but if you think that you the best then training will be more intensive and sparring better.

i just sparred the dude and i got my ass WHOOPED..the first minute i got him good i kept my jab and i landed the more noticable shots like i him with the jab str8 right hook and another str8 right i guess thas the 10..and i landed a big right hand like the one in my picture and i tired to follow with a left hook and her ducked it and got me with a right hand to the body and the rest i played a winky wright defense cuz that body shot got me good..and then he kept swinging n like i would tri to duck and hed go the body and he got me cornered and one of the coaches said thats enough annnd he still kept hitting me and then for about 20 more punches he stopped..afterwards i came up to him n i told him ima get you next time and i shook his hand but the rest of the day i felt real weird..kind of embaressed..yehh but i think i can get him next time..
