    French veteran Fabrice Tiozzo has announced his retirement reports media outlet l´Equipe. Tiozzo thus will relinquish the WBA light heavyweight title. The 37-year-old was to have defended the title on November 18 against tough Argentinian Hugo Garai but that is now off. [details]

    48-2 isnt nothing to sneeze at he should be considered up there in the rankings of light heavyweight ...not just based on record but he had to beat a few guys to aquire it

      Tiozzo also fought at cruiserweight, did he ever become a champion overthere? And were those 2 defeats in light heavy or cruiser?

              I have not checked but I think it was one in the 90's and one in 2000.

                tiozzo was a joke. long layoffs, the guys gets blown away by virgil hill in one round (and hill is not a puncher), and he didnt have any outstanding qualities as a boxer.

                just another guy with another belt.
