Margarito didn't have no opponent after williams called him out. Get your facts straight.

Sorta you know those contender fighters are getting a lot of hype for not very much. Ishe Smith's last two wins since the Contender have been a 2nd round tko over a clubfighter who Vanes Martisrosyan (how do you spell that guy's name?) stopped in 1, and a decision over an older fighter Alfonso Gomez stopped in the 5th. And Ishe is a Juniormiddleweight.

And on the subject of Williams yes he has skills but has faced such soft opposition. I wasn't impressed with the Mitchell bout and he was hit too often in the Mathhyse bout. I would like to see him first face an Oscar Diaz type guy.

There's no denying that Margarito was hypocritical for not fighting Paul Williams.

Any way you look at the situation, it was the fight Margarito should have taken but didn't.

    - Higher profile fight than Clottey. Williams is one of the hottest prospects in the sport and is coming off back to back HBO televised dates

    - He's the Mandatory challenge for Margarito's WBO title and has been for almost a year

    - Willams is rated #1 by the WBO, Clottey is #5

    - A win over Williams would be worth much much more than a win over Clottey

    - Williams has been vocally calling Tony out for almost a year

    ----------------------

For him to accuse Floyd of ducking and then turn around and do the same thing to Williams is very suspect any way you look at it.

ishe smith--------contender fighter decent wouldn't stand up to Margarito and after Tony wins the fight you guys will once again be stating how he doesn't fight anybody good
paul williams---------just came up a little bit ago unproven untested I don't even consider him a real title contender
jose rivera---------- I'm drawing a blank right now somebody refresh my memory
Carlos Quintana--------also just came up a bit ago and is fighting Miguel Cotto a little while from now
