He's never touched weights either (just bodyweight exercises), Calzaghe, says weights would slow him down..

Calzaghe, he's 35 next and he does struggle to make 168 (has done badly for four or five years) but once he's made weight he doesn't go eating loads (and/or drinking loads of water) because he says he'd lose sharpness if he shot back up in weight quickly.

He focusses so much on fast, sharp punching in training too (his sessions are basically shadow boxing, pads, double-end ball, speedball - always working on sharpness) that he could never lose too much speed while still in his 30's.

He doesn't hit the heavybag or spar much (due to fragile hands), but when he does spar he only spars with welterweights to keep his speed - if he moves up to 175, he'll continue sparring welterweights (when he spars) which would have an even more exaggerated effect.

Bika, beware. Woods? Good luck. What about Winky Wright or Jermaine Taylor in mid-2007 at 168?

Winky has a good defense, ofcourse, which may cause big Joe some problems, but Joe knocks him out if he gets any power shots through because he's so much bigger and stronger.

Jermain Taylor is interesting.. he's ran Hopkins and Winky close in his last three fights on raw talent alone, his skills have yet to really develop, and he's getting stronger and faster by the day..
