This is exactly true. The heavyweights nowadays have no amateur background by and large, and you simply cannot fight if you don't have an amateur background. The amateurs is where a fighter perfects his skills, particularly keeping your balance and footwork while throwing punches. Since most of them have no footwork, they can't throw punches in combination because they'd fall off balance. If you don't have balance and footwork, they're gonna clinch in situations better schooled fighters would throw punches. Not to mention, 230 pound guys aren't typically ballerinas.

First thing is casting. You wouldn't want to cast big fat lazy HW's on the show. Some decent young talent and a million dollar prize should get them fighting.

Throw in Mesi and Ruslan Chagav and then they'd have something. I think that they could do something like this, its possible. The heavyweights need something like this to spark interest in the division, and a reality show profiling young talent in the division might do it some good, but might just illustrate how pathetic the division is. **** it, I'd be down to see it. Might give me some hope, I dunno.

You would see a lot more KO's and monster punches.
