Comments Thread For: Miguel Berchelt Vows To Come Back Stronger From KO Loss To Valdez

Miguel "El Alacran" Berchelt (38-2) was very confident going into his showdown against unbeaten former featherweight champion Oscar Valdez. The Mexican warriors collided Saturday night inside of "The Bubble" at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada in a highly anticipated ESPN main event.

I would be shocked if he attempted to make 130 again. When you rehydrate to 146.2 it says your in the wrong division.

Valdez fought the fight of his career on Saturday. Was a pleasure to be wrong on the outcome after seeing that performance.

Idk, that was quite the beating, I have doubts he will ever be the same.

He was moving very sluggish in there. Weight drained for sure but one also has to wonder about the after effects of the corona virus. Talking about before he got a concussion in round 4. He was done after that, just a matter of time.

Berchelt either needs to hire a nutritionist and get his weight under control or move to 135 because the weight cut clearly took a big toll on him this time

Where does Berchelt go from here? Lightweight seems to be a possibility, so does jr. Welterweight judging by how much he rehydrated. 146.2 on the night of a 130lb title fight. As soon as they said that I knew he was tight at the weight.

No way Berchelt comes back stronger after that! Not at 130 pounds! He needs to go higher and maybe that helps him.
