Light heavyweight contender Callum Johnson (18-1, 13 KOs), 35-years-old, revealed on Thursday that he signed a long-term promotional agreement with Frank Warren. For the last few years, Johnson was working with Eddie Hearn of Matchroom - but behind the scenes there was an internal promotional rift that created a situation where Johnson was benched.

Might be a decent undercard fight.

Real fun fight actually, pair of big punchers with few special effects... gotta say though I haeavily favour Smith here, his experience with top level fighters will be the real difference. He's never gonna be a master boxer but he's improved massively - almost fight on fight - since he broke through with the Fonfara and Hopkin's wins.

Great move for Johnson signing with Frank. I’d also like to see Johnson-Yarde at some point. I think Johnson knocks him out personally.

It’s seems rare these days that two genuine punchers share the ring. Total agreement here, very fun fight and I hope they get to meet and I am delighted to see that Callum has signed with Frank which gives all the Queensbury fighters links to the Top Rank lads.
Regarding the matchup, you get the sense that heavy bombs will be landed and someone’s not seeing the final bell, merriment will be had for all spectators

I like Callum, I've been calling him one of the top 3 punchers at 175 for a few years now, but Smith has his title fight coming up, then I'm about 90% sure they're putting him against Beterbiev for the Unification.
