Comments Thread For: Broner-Santiago Contract Weight Changed To Welterweight Limit Of 147 Pounds

UNCASVILLE, Connecticut Adrien Broner does not have to worry about squeezing down to the junior welterweight limit of 140 pounds by Friday morning. BoxingScene.com has learned that the contracted maximum for his fight against Jovanie Santiago has been changed to the welterweight limit of 147 pounds. Neither Broner nor Santiago would discuss the contract weight with BoxingScene.com before their press conference Thursday at Mohegan Sun, but both camps have agreed to the weight switch.

Not surprised. He also had a rehydration clause for Porter and it got scrapped as well.
