Comments Thread For: DiBella: If You Wanna Make A Real Fight For Lomachenko, Put Him In With Commey

Richard Commey's promoter is sure Commey's performance Saturday night against Jackson Marinez made him a viable opponent for any of the young, unbeaten, elite lightweights that he hasn't fought.

He want payday for Commey, simple. Commey need few more wins to be an attractive fight to Loma. Everybody knew he is left over of lopez and he lost by quick KO...

        Fans win!!!!!

DiBella see's this as a buildup to a $$$$ rematch. No other fighter is in a hurry to fight either so why not put them together. Commey was landing when he got clipped, Lomachanko at 135 needs to show that he can deal with a bigger heavy handed guy.

IMO, the timing couldn't be better. The guy with his hand raised will undoubtedly call out Lopez for a unification money fight

        Winner.... FANS!!!!!

It would be a good fight, but probably too risky for Team Loma, although I'm sure Loma would fight him any time.

What better or more viable play does Commey, Lomachenko or Lopez have?

Nobody is beating down Commey's door, nobody calls out Lomachenko. Winner gets a shot at redemption and redemption sells. They are all willing to work with Arum and more importantly fight on ESPN.

There may be a better more VIABLE scenario but I don't see it.

Lou could sell it have Lomo fight Commey and show it as a fighter with power and both have the names to draw and Lomo has got to get back into the ring if he wants to shoot for a rematch or one of the younger guys. Not that many choices and at his age time is no longer on his side as far as the number of fights he can and will get going forward. There have been worst match ups. Maybe there is another one or two who might do the trick but it is in the park.

This I like honestly or fight Romero and winner gets a shot at Lopez or Lomo for that matter.
