  • Comments Thread For: Frampton Suffers Hand Injury, Herring Title Fight Postponed

Jamel Herring and Carl Frampton have been hit with yet another delay to finally meet in the ring. The oft-postponed junior lightweight title fight has been forced to move off of its scheduled Feb. 27th date in London, BoxingScene.com has learned. A hand injury suffered by Frampton has forced the former two-division champ on the sidelines for two weeks, per doctor's orders, thus prompting the latest setback in getting this fight over the line.

First, I'm not there and can't comment on whether the injury is legit or not. Boxing messes with your hands big time so no comment on that front.

That said, he was talking about the $$ in a Stevenson fight and few fans thought he'd win against Herring.

Add the unsubstatiated rumors about him, Fury and others being controlled by the mob. Well, who knows what's going on over there, but this could have been a good fight. Not to much skill to bore novices, but more than enough to satisfy real boxing fans.

Anyways it is what it is, boxing is a hard sport. Your hands are toast after 5 years as a pro and from there you just manage the disomfort and try to get paid before it's to late.

...while efforts continue to secure U.S. TV rights...
I wonder why ESPN doesn't want this fight? Krime Global?

Bogus hand injury. Let Herring fight Stevenson and let Frampton twist in the wind.

If Shakur is ready, let him get his shot now, Frampton can fight the winner.

Surely Arum is aware of how much $$$ these postponements are costing him.

Shakur should get his shot immediately. Put Frampton on the backburner. All these postponements and freak injuries sounds like something else and we cant hold up another career for this mess. Hell if Shakur is ready let him fight on the 27th or at least if they really are rescheduling the Smith 175 fight for ESPN get on as the co-main. But forget Frampton
