Shane Mosley Jr. became the first opponent to stop Cristian Olivas on Saturday night. The 30-year-old Mosley severely damaged Olivas' right eye and battered him during a one-sided fifth round that prompted referee Thomas Taylor to halt the action halfway through their scheduled 10-rounder at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California. Mosley, of Pomona, California, improved to 17-3 and produced his 10th knockout.

Shane showed he belongs in a good win!

I wasn't convinced with that performance he could ever contend for a major title as long as Charlo or others are champion. I do believe he showed improvements and better ring generalship however he wasn't fighting a threat either! Shane like many other great champions kids could have been better or even quite good had they like many others had deeper amateur experience.
