The World Boxing Association (WBA) championships committee has ordered a mandatory bout between cruiserweight 'super' champion Arsen Goulamirian and Aleksey Egorov. Frenchman Goulamirian won the title on May 31st, 2019, so the deadline to face Egorov of Russia has lapsed.

Be nice to see Egorov get a shot, been following this kid since waay back in his ammy days. Ain't exactly been an explosive transition to the pros but I still reckon he can snag himself a title here.

Goulamirian looked rather poor in his last fight, benefited from his opponents bad gas tank.

Goumalirian looks like a typical (excluding GGG) Abel sanchez fighter.
Plods forward, tight high guard, power, clean and compact punching technique. Stiff, slow feet.

It works until a certain level, but it's just too one dimensional for the top level.
