Comments Thread For: Miguel Berchelt: In Valdez Fight, I'm Gonna Show I'm Best 130-Pounder In The World

Miguel Berchelt isn't a braggart. The WBC super featherweight champion prefers to let his performances speak for him. Berchelt isn't overlooking Oscar Valdez, either, even though many boxing experts expect the bigger, stronger Berchelt to beat the undefeated former WBO featherweight champion February 20 in Las Vegas.

You're going to show you're the best 130 pounder by beating the worst champion at 126 before he moved up?

I think Berchelt vs. Loma @ 130 would be excellent! MAN UP!

“Leave it up to the fans”?? See this is the mentality thats got boxing dragging well behind the other sports. Its boxing. Nothing should be left to the fans and everything should be proven IN THE RING. I like Berchelt and his style. But there are 4 “champs” at 130. Which could make for a very interesting tourney, but the “business” of boxing is getting in the way. These guys aren't even talking bout fighting one another unless they’re with the same promoter. F’n sad. Damn, boxing could be sooo much better. And dont come over here talking that “who’s duckin who” bs, tryna big up your fav fighter. I aint with it. Would love a fight between berchelt and davis. Thats a great fight! Or Diaz v herring. Or flip flop them. Either way they are good fights that should be happening but sadly, probably won’t.

Winner of herring-frampton has to fight Stevenson next, so maybe berchelt fights Loma?

This is going to be great. Whoever wins is the best at 130. Prob. 1-2. I have both beating the rest of the lot. Nobody is beating Valdez anyway. Not even his corner. I hope!
