Comments Thread For: Oscar Valdez: I Chose Berchelt To Have a War, Fight For WBC Title

Two-time Olympian Oscar Valdez (28-0, 22 KOs) is motivated that most observers are stating that it's very difficult for him to defeat WBC super featherweight world champion Miguel 'Alacran' Berchelt (37-1, 33 KOs). The will collide on February 20 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

My thing with Valdez is he's pretty good, but not creative with his punch selection and his movement. Kinda predictable and limited in this area.

Yea fighting a bigger stronger guy with 33 ko’s out of 37 wins is way less riskier that fighting pillow fisted Shakur GTFOH! Nobody wants to fight his boring A$s, Valdez trying to entertain fans and give an exciting fight not a snoozefest!

I'll root for you if I watch it, but he has too much size advantage. Berchelt isn't that skilled. He's a welter disguised as a junior lightweight. The fight will show.

          War Valdez!

Valdez has a few chances to stop Berchelt ... Berchelt is much bigger and throws a lot of punches, but he boxs with his chin in the air. Oscar has everything to gain in this war unlike Miguel who has everything to lose.

I can't wait to see this great fight between these 2 warriors of the modern era

Berchelt has all his torso wide open in the entire fight, too. His defense is crap. Body punching is key. Does Valdez have enough power to terrorize that body? I don't think so.
