  • Comments Thread For: Errol Spence, Yordenis Ugas Express Interest in Unfication Showdown

He may not get Manny Pacquiao, but WBC/IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence (27-0, 21 KOs) has now positioned his focus on a unification with WBA champion Yordenis Ugas (26-4, 12 KOs). Spence had been targeting a high stakes unification with Pacquiao.

Jesus Christ with this guy. Crawford showing interest too, but he's on the other side of the street right? But you're going to go with a guy riddled with losses to straight nobodies. What a waste Spence turned out to be. Doesn't care about being great, just wants to get paid.

Maybe time to move up in weight dude. You been beating up these little guys for far too long.

As soon as they stripped Manny and made Ugas boss this fight is done deal, its just too easy to make too convenient, TC would be doing the same if Ugas was under Arums banner .

I think Arum is the one stopping the fight, but I think they all know it will get bigger so they want the big one but dont really care if they dont get it as they making plenty anyway, just not good for us fans , lots in boxing you want to stand up wind from, this is one of them first ballot Floyd Manny fallout deals.

What? Team Spence quick to make some noise for a high risk, low reward fight? When GrandPac was still the champ who failed to secure an easy fight a few days ago, they're too silent...

Does that mean that Spence wants challenges instead of easy money? GrandPac unification should've been easier for him...

Little guys? Lol, Porter fought at 165lbs in the amateurs, he has victories over Alexander Usyk and Danny Jacobs.

              Porter aint no small guy.

Ugas looked way bigger than Porter when they fought, and he looks bigger than Spence too.

Brook was also visibly bigger than Spence when they fought.

Lol, you out here complaining about a three belt unification fight?

              Phuck outta here!!!

Ugas deserves a big fight and I'm happy for him. This should be a good fight as well but it's getting hard to give a shit when we all know what the fight we all really want to see is.

At the same time, the sanctioning body elevated Ugas from "regular" champion to "super" champion status at welterweight.

A great example of why acquiring a WBA 'Regular' world-title is coveted by promoters. Yordenis Ugas just might of hit the jackpot.

Now, if Manny Pacquaio is not injured he should of been stripped, otherwise the World Boxing Association's decision to make the 'Pacman' a "champion in recess.", due to inactivity, is just wrong.

This is like being able to pick when you feel like fighting and with whom, relieving the champion from his duty of defending his world championship -- like perks of the WBC 'Franchise' champion.
