I never thought about it. It seems like the family usually does attend the boxer's fights. It seems to have no effect on the outcome of the fight and does no harm that I can see. It is a choice to be made by the boxer and his family.

I was rewatching the Cotto-Margarito fight and after Cotto takes a knee in devastating fashion the camera zoomed in on his ex wife who was holding his son and both were crying uncontrollably. Do you think family members should be in attendance and ringside for fights?
