Comments Thread For: Peter Fury: Anthony Joshua-Tyson Fury is Pick'em Fight To Be Honest

Last month in London, Peter Fury was ringside and watched Anthony Joshua retain the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight titles with a stoppage win over mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev. Joshua is now in serious negotiations to face WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, who is Peter Fury's nephew and former student.

Let’s hope it happens! Ideally at Wembley, though that seems unlikely.
I could be wrong but I don’t see this as a 50/50 fight, Fury holds the aces in this one. I think he’ll win by stoppage relatively comfortably.

There are a lot of unpredictable and murky elements that can determine the outcome of Joshua vs. Fury : So much so that, the bookies should make a betting option on a disqualification.

We all seen Tyson break all the rules throughout his career and just recently was deducted a point by Kenny Bayless against Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder, and Steve Cunningham before that.

Then you got Anthony Joshua, clearly being assisted by a paid-off referees in the UK, caught tampering with his gloves on camera against Joseph Parker ; got bailed out by referee Phil Edwards, when Joshua was gassing vs. Carlos Takam. Later, A.J tried similar stalling tactics in his title defense against Andy Ruiz, as you can see.

Boxing fans are really in for a disappointed given the shady history of these two. This PPV is not worth buying, save your money.

Is this a wind up?? Tampering with gloves?? There’s tape hanging off!! Needs to be removed! Deontay is that you? Haha

Spitting out your gum shield to buy more time is the oldest trick in the book! Unless you are doing it consistently, why not! It’s gamesmanship

And as for Fury grabbing Wilder in the headlock, sure it’s against the rules but I’m all for it, once or twice! He’s asserting his dominance, all part of his game plan in that fight, breaking him down physically and mentally. He was showing him he wasn’t going to be bullied and putting him in his place!

I’m all for this, it’s very different to using the head or low blows consistently!

Bending the rules up to the point just before having a point deducted is fine for me, it’s a fight not a tickling contest!

If Peter was still training Tyson, he certainly wouldn't see it as a pick 'em fight. I like Peter, but he is clearly a very bitter man about Tyson leaving him.

Ignore that fool, he is just super salty cuz 2 real fighters are doing what his dreamboat Wilder never had the bravery to do. Unify.

One hour joke never had a problem when Wilder was smashing on dragged up career Cruiserweights with losing records andnever moaned when Wilder was knocking them out with illegal shots to the back of the head and open palmed slaps to the temple.

I think the fact its Britain v Britain is also chewing at his insides.

Joshua needs to get a chin and a heart. That's for starters.

I don’t agree with what 1HR is saying but your post makes little sense.

Wilder fought Fury long before AJ...

AJ still hasn’t fought Fury or Wilder. There’s been 2 fights in which 2 of the top 3 have fought, AJ wasn’t in either of them.

I think Fury is a clear favourite but AJ can’t be ruled out, he has a chance albeit a slim one.
