Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia: Can Only Become Greater Learning From Reynoso, Canelo

DALLAS-With five knockouts in as many fights with his current team, it's safe to say that Ryan Garcia will never look back. The unbeaten lightweight saw his career soar to new heights, even amidst his scariest moment to date in rising from the deck to knock out England's Luke Campbell in the 7th round of their Jan. 2nd interim title fight. Garcia breezed through his previous four opponents under the tutelage of Eddy Reynoso.

Garcia definitely has a great team behind him, quite possibly the best in business right now. Ryan will grow up quickly with a mentor like Canelo by his side.

Great Team? Best in the business? Based on what?

Fielding, Kovalev, and Smith are all cherry picks and Canelo was losing miserably to Kovalev. IDC what the scores were, everybody knows you can never beat Canelo on the cards unless you're Mayweather. Canelo was way behind against Kovalev.

Jacobs, I just can't explain it. I want to give credit where credit is due, but Jacobs just didn't show up to win for whatever reason. Maybe they gave him a bag full of money to take it easy, I don't know. I have a scorecard for that fight, but can't remember it atm and don't really GAF to look.

Reynoso is literally a nobody though. Who else he got?

Ruiz? He can't do anything with that fat pig.
Julio Cesar Martinez, who the hell is that?
Luis Nery, another little guy I never heard of.
Frank Sanchez, looks interesting but never heard of him.
Oscar Valdez, again another little dude I've never heard of.

His entire stable are little guys and his game plans against the cherry picks hasn't exactly been masterful.

You Canelo fans remind me of the Pacquiao fans from 10 years ago. Those people used to jock Roach to no end. Roach Coach isn't a top trainer, never was, but he's light years better than Reynoso.

He is Jake, just look at his body, he's on the same stuff Canelo and everyone in that gym must be on, Andy Ruiz with a 6 pack next?

How can you judge Reynoso's work? You know nothing about practically all of the boxers he trains

Come back to me when you've done your homework

Because I've seen his work continued with Canelo, the guy he's been with the longest.

Also, I don't need to see the little guys. I think at my age and experience, I know a thing or two about what makes a good trainer or not.

The reynoso camp is overated as ****. Canelo isn't that good with its the cherrypicks that make him look good. Also the paid off judges. Oscar valdez hasn't looked good since joining them. Honestly they just seem to be clinging and hyping ryan up cause they know canelo is gonna retire and ryan is the future. They hardly praise any of the other fighters in that camp.

Edit: ShoulderRoll Thanks for the red k. I guess it's easier to do that than actually argue the facts huh?
