  • Comments Thread For: Povetkin-Whyte Rematch Could Go To Gibraltar, Monaco or Middle East

Gibraltar, Monaco and the Middle East are all possible venues for the Alexander Povetkin vs. Dillian Whyte rematch after Whyte asked Hearn to find a venue where fans could attend. Povetkin knocked out Whyte in their first meeting at Fight Camp in the garden of Matchroom's Es*** headquarters last August in front of no paying spectators.

The best thing is for the fight to be delayed. It will be better if forms part of the undercard for the Joshua-Fury fight. It will make it even bigger since the winner will be a mando for the WBC belt.

Luckily i think you are in a minority. Whyte is raring to go, Povetkin doesn't want to grow older waiting for the fight. Usyk - Helenius could be on the undercard - that would be a fun fight to watch, wouldn't it?

        Nah now! Why wait ?

Fury vs Joshua is supposed to be Top Rank vs Matchroom anyway according to Arum / DAZN sources .. Fury / Joshua dream undercard Teo vs Haney ;-) one Mathroom one Top Rank.

Povetkin is no longer a world beater , so if he KO's Whyte again nobodies really going to be that bothered .Whyte if he wins has just made it 1-1 so really for a man like Hearn who loves his rematch clauses he should look towards a trilogy. Unlike the Fury v Joshua showdown which deserves a good live gate of interested fans it doesn't really matter where this second rate contest takes place. Hearns got it on PPV so those who see it differently can pay through the teeth for it where ever it takes place.

Fight was already supposed to be announced for March 6th how do they not have a site for it??

And who posted something about delaying it? Why delay after its been delayed twice already. Get the fight done and move on

You don’t need a site for it when the fight is announced . Locations are not required to get a fight agreed to .

The fight should be organized in Russia. Povetkin, although a cheater, knocked out another cheater Whyte. If the latter wants a rematch, it should be held where Povetkin wants. The same refers to Kownacki/Helenius rematch, should be held in Finland.
