Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez: My Body Is Ready To Move Up, One Or Two Fights Left At 135

Teofimo Lopez looks to enjoy another Fighter of the Year-worthy campaign in the year ahead. What he can't envision happening 12 months from now is a scenario where his body still allows him to serve as the World lightweight champion. The 23-year old Brooklyn native is ready to hit the ground running in 2021, eager to make the most of whatever time he has left in the 135-pound division before eventually moving up in weight. The intention is to leave as the undisputed champion, which effectively could be a one- or two-fight process.

He simply avoiding facing other champions in 135. He clearly lost his nerve after getting lucky decision against loma. Im pretty sure he is not staying as champ...

Idk, he has been talking about moving up to 140 for a while now. How was the Loma win "lucky"? He lost 4 rounds.

He had even said he was moving up if he didn’t get the Loma fight iirc.

I do think it weird he doesnt rematch Loma, almost sounds scared (oddly) but when it’s time to move up it’s time.

The bigger takeaway was Tank’s people declining for all the belts. Really disgraceful imo the lengths theyre going to defend that 0. First Loma now Teo. Turn down all the belts but are willing for Ryan. Geez, I wonder why.

It's pretty embarrassing. Nobody calls him out for his bull****. We don't have true champions like that anymore. If Loma would have wont he fight, he'd have ZERO people wanting to fight him right now.

          It's embarrassing he's running from a rematch.

Tanks team doesn't want him to face anyone really tough, he's their only meal ticket.

He got a close victory over Loma. Dude, you can keep your trolling up because you hate Loma, but he won by a round... A round... You got awfully quiet when I posted that thread of Teo getting beat up in the second half. ALL of you trolls stopped on a dime here after that thread got posted.

It's incredible how limited you guys are in your ability to be good in life.

Teofimo won 8 rounds against Lomachenko. I don't care if they rematch or not, I have no dog in this race.

The only fighter dis*****g, or having reasonable grounds to dispute, that Lopez is "undisputed champion" is Haney. That's down to WBC and their franchise designation, however they appear to recognise Lopez as their champion.

If the fight with Haney can't be made after the mandatory then Lopez should just move up.

Loma lost and then made crazy allegations. That's not trolling.
