  • Comments Thread For: Kazuto Ioka May Make Run at Inoue, Fifth Title Before Retiring, Says Trainer

Kazuto Ioka (26-2) cemented his legacy on New Year's Eve, stopping unbeaten three-division champion Kosei Tanaka (15-1) in eight rounds to retain his WBO super flyweight title. The bout served as a TBS main event in Japan on date that is traditionally reserved for the biggest fights in the country.

Kazuto Ioka's desire to end his career in the Wild-Wild-West reminds me of that John Bon Jovi song 'Blaze of Glory'. Naoya Inoue is a WANTED-MAN! But Kazuto is starin down a bullet.

That might be taking it a bit too far...But I'll watch the **** out of it

Though if Ioka moved up, he'd become Casimero's mandatory.

I have no idea why these Japanese fighters are hated so much on this site. They've proven time and time again that they want all of the smoke.

Who says that about Tank when guys like Inoue and Canelo exist. We all act like Tank is still 21 years old but he’s only a year younger than Inoue and 3 or 4 over Canelo who was already a multi division champ and lineal at mw by 26 iirc.

I’m Tank nut hugger but he’s not exactly killin the resume game and I’ll admit that

Casimero is a good fight for Ioka to take.

If he wins then go for Inoue.

Quite a few guys on here, actually. Curt Henning called Tanaka a bum because of his boxrec ranking compared to Tanks.

Ironically enough, Murata is a bloody rockstar over there. His rematch with N'Dam had 15 million viewers, but he's still calling out everyone at 160 lol

I'd love that fight, but Casimero has been chasing Inoue and I'm sure Inoue wants to humble him like he did Rodriguez after Rodriguez shoved Inoue's father.
