January isn't the only month in early 2021 within which ESPN won't televise live boxing. Bob Arum informed BoxingScene.com that the network's decision-makers have opted to skip boxing programming in March as well. The primary strategy behind that decision is to avoid airing boxing opposite men's college basketball postseason games during that month, most notably the NCAA Tournament.

Interesting, I get it but man the first quarter for ESPN will be slow. DAZN on the other hand is going hard in the first quarter.

Top Rank stinks and they’ve been bad since Pacquiao’s departure. Their business model has been exposed and they haven’t done anything for Lomochenko,Crawford and soon Shakur Stevenson careers. They can’t even pay their top fighters unless they trick a desperate opponent to take chump change.

Top Rank will kill boxing on ESPN, writing is on the wall. They can use the college basketball tournament excuse but what’s the point of having ESPN+ can’t they show the cards on the app?? I really think boxing is the last thing espn wants to show in their network

I'm convinced TR is gonna be sold soon. These mfers just not into it anymore. And to me them not being more amped for Teo beating Loma says to me it's because they ain't gonna be riding that Teo train into his prime so they dgaf.

Feel like if the UFC got into boxing it could be from buying TR + they are on the same network. But with the UFC iffy on getting in or not it's left Bob in this game he's trying to leave.

Idk just my theory cuz I know they were damn near publicly doing a QVC ad on selling a year or two back. And Bob been more Bob than usual.

ESPN has to be regretting that exclusive deal with Top Stank....i meant Top Rank. Once again boxing thrown to the back of the line. To me its still the old idea of the 4 corners with basketball, football, baseball and a fight..which corner would have the most spectators. So simple but yet magically cant get it right

Too many Promoters and too many networks. Thats why boxing doesnt get the best fights. I wish Dana ran boxing, but boxer wouldnt last as champions if it was the UFC model.

Their March schedule is still better than PBC's 2021 schedule so far.

Did they say due to Covid ? Yet Covid dont exist in basketball or any other sport just boxing ? I guess that is bc if you are in a large group it stops the spread of Covid. I agree with the whole Bob is done and looking to sell at his age. I could go on but there is no schedule of fights on espn or the PLUS now they all got there excuse to just PPV fight fans to death. Same old story, I better stop just got done reading an article here from a writer who talked about how great boxing is doing last year and 21 is going to be out of this world. Forget about it.

                    Top rank fell off massively.

They don't have any stars anymore besides Fury. But then again, we don't even know if he can be a draw by himself in the US. Crawford is their next biggest name and he's not a draw.

They can't even do PPV's on their own anymore.
