Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez Not Surprised Everyone is Targeting Ryan Garcia

IBF, WBC Franchise, WBO, WBA lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez is not surprised with the growing number of boxers who are currently pursuing a fight with Ryan Garcia. Last weekend, Garcia captured the WBC's interim-lightweight title with a seventh round knockout of Luke Campbell.

I don't agree with Lopez at all. Ryan is the one who wants Davis. The one who is saying a Davis fight will be a legacy for him. Not Lopez or Loma or Haney. He's the one who is clout chasing and obsessed with Davis.

It's kinda the opposite actually. Real boxing fans are different from Twitter fans.

Garcia is no where near a fully matured fighter. One day I see him handing Teo an L.

You’re clearly lost.. Ryan stole Floyd/Tank fanbase, the urban market...

Ryan is smart, he looked where he was weak to make himself a bigger star. Ryan fanbase doesnt give a damn about Tank.

I don't think he's fake though, he's aiming for hard fights.

With his following and flashiness, etc., I'd be advising him to do a Canelo and cherry pick his way to earning massive dollar fights. What matters is bums on seats and ppl watching his fights on TV, and he should go after B level fighters and score KOs, and rocket himself to be the highest paid fighter around (if he isn't already).

Yeah, I think everyone wants that Tank money, especially Ryan! If Ryan was "The Man" he would be fighting Haney next! However he wants Tank, Teo wants Tank, and Haney wants Tank! I think Ryan would rather be with Floyd/Haymon too!

Go Ryan. I bash his lack of style, but he wants to go big. My little critique is in my head, not his. Sic em.

I don't even know you but I'm guessing it took you a very long time to come up with that random pile of gibberish.

                    Loma too.

I developed a new respect for him after crapping on Lopez and saying Davis was the man to beat at the division and a beast. That's how true champions talk, even though they haven't even fought.

Loma knows what's up. Davis now represents the epitome of American boxing, and fun to watch.
