Junior middleweight/middleweight contender Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan is hoping to get selected as the comeback opponent for five division world champion Oscar De La Hoya in 2021. De La Hoya retired from the sport in 2008 after suffering a one-sided TKO defeat at the hands of Manny Pacquiao.

Oscar will be 48 years old, not fought in 13 years and spent almost all those 13 years well over 200 lbs.

They got their work cut out finding a name opponent that Oscar could actually beat. Or if they go the route of knowing he will likely lose atleast an opponent he would be competitive with. You go for broke against a GGG, he would just get battered and stopped early.

Even making 160 will be a brutal cut for him.

Why not, Oscar and Gary almost got into a fisticuffs at a weigh-in.
