Comments Thread For: Gary Russell Jr. On Gervonta Davis: He Based His Whole Career Fighting Smaller Fighters

Gary Russell Jr. wants Gervonta Davis to pick on someone his own size. The WBC featherweight titleholder has not been shy about calling Davis a weight bully over the past year. In the latest instance of his antagonization, Russell took exception to Davis' last fight, a 130-pound, pay-per-view contest against Leo Santa Cruz,

The skill set is the problem, not the size! Tank vs. GRJ would be a 50/50 fight, however sorry GRJ, Ryan Garcia is the bigger event! GRJ vs. Chris Colbert or Rolando Romero! MAN UP!

Gary one of the most talented dudes

In the game but nobody that doesn’t follow boxing know who the *** he is! He has skills but Tank is skillful and mean with explosiveness and much younger as well. I think like most people would predict Gary to be KO’d also. In fact Gary even in Baltimore outside his team can’t find 5 people who would pick him to win or go the distance with Tank. Also many of Gary’s team would secretly bet on Tank!

Tank is in no man's land. GRJ is not famous enough for him, and he won't be rushed into fighting the top guns. Guess he needs to take a page out of Floyd's book, find someone and talk him up.

There must be some personal history between Gary Russell and Tank.

GRJ just does not seem to like the guy.
