Way too fast but he got outlanded almost every round? lolol
The bar for Canelo to get rounds with some people is so lowComment

A draw is not acceptable.Golovkin clearly won that first fight. I had it 8-4. Canelo was effective off the ropes but he spent too much time on the ropes in a defensive posture accomplishing very little. He was outlanded in almost all the rounds. He simply fought the wrong fight. He gave up his advantage in hand speed and didn't fight enough off the ropes where he did better work. His fight plan was a disaster. Either he didn't feel confident enough to stay off the ropes or he couldn't handle Golovkin's power but in any event he went to the ropes. It was a foolish fight strategy.Last edited by TonyGe; 01-05-2021, 08:33 AM.Comment

Then why was he on the ropes so much and trying to emulate Floyd with the upper body defensive moves. Problem for him was Floyd outlands his opponents. If his punches were so impactful vs Golovkin he would have stood in there and traded. He lost the fight plain as day but Canelo got the political victory.Comment
