Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia, De La Hoya Want Gervonta Davis For Cinco De Mayo Clash

Ryan Garcia resoundingly says he's ready to make the leap from prospect to top-flight contender and champion in 2021. The lightweight upstart has a tough test in front of him in Luke Campbell on Saturday night from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas on DAZN. Should Garcia (20-0, 17 KOs) get past Campbell (20-3, 16 KOs) successfully, he plans on calling out Gervonta Davis (24-0, 23 KOs) in the ring during his post-fight interview.

R.Garcia would get sopped early body body shot from Tank Davis. Oscar is clout chasing for his fighter and knows this so don't look for this fight.

So does this mean if Garcia wins, He doesn’t really wanna fight Haney? He’s in a final eliminator and fighting for interim title/ shot at full world title, and he’s basically gonna turn that down?

He called out Campbell a year or so ago, so maybe he just used this mandated fight to get Luke in the ring, if so, my respect for Ryan has just gone up Another notch! Can only respect that to be fair. Good luck to both guys.

Would love to see Luke win.
But also have NO Problem in seeing Garcia have HIS breakout moment so to speak and him win.

Just hoping for a GREAT fight, however long it lasts. I’m so excited for this one, atleast it’s only hours away now! GREAT For us brits!! Not having to watch whilst our eyes feel like grit because it’s so deep in the morning!!! #Boxing #FireVsIce

If he beats Campbell this evening I hope things don't change all of a sudden and they start talking about some other fight

This is a huge fight with Mayweather, Oscar, B-Hop all promoting it

its funny...the people criticize tank daily for his "resume" or lack of one...his comp...all that....yet its these guys calling out tank....loma "i wanna fight tank this year"....ryan "oscar wants tank for me"

its because tank has gone and built a profile as the biggest name in the division...he sells tix and has a ppv...hes worked a floyd undercard....hes headlined showtime cards ....

tank is still prob the biggest name in the division...i guess it can be argued teo is neck and neck with him there or ahead of him....but tank is still a top name in that division and thats why guys are calling him out.....

tank is 26...he has plenty of time to build a good resume....most guys dont have sheet for resumes at 26....tank has gone and built his profile into a strong one and a name people know and the others want a piece of

Tank Davis would be a much bigger fight. And a very dangerous one, right now I would pick Gervonta to win it.

                Based on what ?
Tank knocking out lil Leo ?
Or going the distance with an injured little Gamboa ?

Styles make fights. Tank up the middle would be too much for R. Garcia. He's made to order. He would hurt him so don't look for Dela Hater to make this fight. He's just helping hype tonights fight by name dropping.

This would be a war!! But I definitely think tank will be victorious!.. Garcia is tall and Fast.. Tank is quick and powerful.. But much respect for both fighters for daring to be great!
