  • Comments Thread For: Ryan Garcia Wish List For 2021: Tank Davis, Lightweight Supremacy... And Manny Pacquiao

DALLAS - Ryan Garcia has not at all been cryptic in his desire to clean out the lightweight division, though the dream fight which he most craves is much bigger in notoriety and in size. The unbeaten lightweight contender remains supremely confident ahead of Saturday's interim title fight versus England's Luke Campbell, to the point where Garcia is calling out his next opponent. On the short list of big fights in the 22-year old's future is a showdown with fellow unbeaten budding superstar Gervonta Tank' Davis (24-0, 23KOs), with the intention of lining up that fight in the first half of 2021.

What's the problem with fighting Haney? That's the guy he's fighting an elimination for!

The Garcia vs Davis fight is the most logical fight for both guys. A good step up in competition for both fighters, Probably the biggest money fight that can be made for either guy. Also they would be preparing to fight the best guys in the Division in either Teo or Haney both of whom, I believe beat Garcia and Davis right now. Sucks for Haney though cause I don't think Arum will let Teo vs Haney take place. I actually see Teo moving up to 140 unless a fight with Davis or Garcia can get made, both are $$$ fights. Maybe Belchert will come up and try to get in the mix at 135 that's really the only chance Haney has at fighting some top opposition in the near future.

His camp knows he's not ready for Haney. They won't make that fight until they think he can win. I don't blame them for that. He's working his way up to that fight, Davis is a step closer in getting him ready for Haney not to mention all the money that can be made. But yes i don't get why fight for a mandatory spot, if he has no intention of taking his spot as a mandatory.

I like Garcia, but all week he has been calling out all other names. He better not get to far ahead of himself cause Campbell is tough. If Campbell can handle the speed and power and get this fight to go deep it will be very interesting. I took Campbell because of the odds with a parlay on the Tampa bay bucs last week, so if he comes through I will win a few bucks.

I don't think so. I like Campbell and hope he does well but I think Ryan is an improved fighter under the Reynosos.

If he wants to get Davis, he better look crap in Luke's fight. Win it, but don't look spectacular. God, which I don't believe in, forbid he KO's Luke.
