Is Smith better than Benavidez and Plant? I'm not sure about that, especially after the Ryder fight. Smith has a chance to put in a better performance, like the impressive one against Groves. But Canelo is better than anyone he's ever fought, so it's a step up.

He has to use his height and reach advantage, with a powerful jab and power punches at Canelo, not pitty pat punches as Kovalev threw. If Canelo doesn't respect Smith's power, then he'll walk through him and **** to the body to break him down.

Who the heck has Plant fought? I can't argue with Benavides, but he constantly is shooting himself in the foot with all the weight and coke problems, so he has nobody to blame but himself. him being #1 in ranking is just semantics. Had the judges done their job in his last fight, he’d be beltless and not ranked anywhere.
