Everyone can have a bad night ---even Michael Jordan.
You're wrong on every one. Robinson was a welterweight when he lost to Lamotta who was a middleweight. They were in two different divisions.

Ali was not considered the best in the division when he lost to Frazier. Joe Frazier was. Duran was considered the best in the division when he beat Leonard.

Stop trying to rewrite history for Canelo's benefit. Nobody that knows boxing considers Smith the best at 168.

Apart from TBRB, Boxrec, ESPN, Boxingscene, RING ****zine, BLH, Boxing Monthly, BNO, and more

But I guess all of these are wrong, and random poster ‘joseph5620’ is correct instead

It’s a weak division and nobody else has done anything worth noting. Saunders cherry picked the belt, Plant has an embarrassing resume so far and Benevidez is still rising up. And this is despite the lacklustre showing against Ryder...

Last time I checked ESPN and Boxingscene.com didn't exist in 1970 or the 50's. So either you're a liar or just an idiot.

Find a list of boxing trainers, fighters, or writers that would pick Smith over Benavidez. Then get back to me.

          Your first paragraph is deliberate

Your 2nd one is moving the goal posts. Being no.1 and having some ppl think you might lose (if true) are different things, though it’s likely you don’t understand it

If you can make it back to Saturday morning shift at the Polish sausage factory in time, you can get a GGG fight on Friday night.

Once again, another troll. The topic is Canelo vs Smith and you have to include GGG.

Is GGG hunting Canelo fans that much? Didn't Canelo beat him already? Why keep attaching him to Can?

Meh, he didn't miss weight by that much. I do agree he is sizing out but he has a couple fights left at SMW that I think would get him up to make weight.

That said, that Smith fight was terrible. In hindsight, Avni would have made a better foe. A great highlight reel KO, coming forward and making himself open the whole way. Smith fight mattered more but would have been nice to get a highlight KO on the big stage ala Kirkland.
