Matt Korobov can't catch a break. The 37-year-old middleweight contender lost a second straight bout due to injury Saturday night. Korobov boxed well for four rounds against Ronald Ellis, but he suffered an injury to his left Achilles tendon that prevented him from starting the fifth round.

Unfortunately, korobov might need to consider retirement. It seems like his body can no longer cope with the stress of training and fighting.

          This mofo falling apart.

At 37 in boxing if your body isn't holding up to lose fights the normal way by KO or decision you need to hang them up. Bad enough if you are older & aren't winning, but if your body is losing fights for you thats a problem.

            Wasn’t he a big drinker?

I know footballers who were known as big drinkers were often very injury prone

He should retire. He left his best days in the amateurs and now his body is breaking down.

Wait if the injury wasn’t related to being hit. Why didn’t this just go to the cards or be ruled a no contest?
