Anthony Joshua's stunning knockout loss to Andy Ruiz Jr. ultimately helped him develop professionally and personally. In fact, the rebuilt British superstar doesn't think anything about that then-devastating defeat changed him for the worse. Joshua discussed his transformation since Ruiz upset him and he regained his four heavyweight titles during a press conference Thursday for his obligatory bout against Bulgaria's Kubrat Pulev on Saturday night at Wembley Arena in London.

A little loss?? Lmaoooo. That brutal devastating loss where a fat a 30-1 underdog pummeled you around the ring into submission was much bigger than his overly passive and boring rematch win.

Statements like this make it sound like one is trying to convince themselves more than anything. Beating the guy that beat you is a good confidence booster though, he should be good mentally.

Amigo! Everyday is a loss to your honor, after you ran like a frightened iguana with diarrhea, in the desert from Andy Ruiz in a 22 foot-ring ; which you could not even use to your advantage in your own country, as those ridiculous parameters are beyond BBBofC regulations.

Maybe you should sell eggs for a living, you big chicken! You got your belts, but Andy has your juevos!

Joshua needs a good performance for his own confidence going forward.

The loss was the loss, he responded well and actually showed a good strategy in the rematch and I seen a different side to him, a more calculated side.

Psychologically, AJ is a deep-thinker and analyses himself and his performances more than any one on here will. If he boxes well and wins round against Pulev (who is a good boxer and technician himself) and manages to stop him I think Joshua goes up a level mentally, which will make him more confident against Usyk or Fury.

His diet for the ruiz rematch mainly consisted of chicken stock

He was overly cautious and like a rabbit in the headlights everytime fat overweight ruiz landed anything or came close to

Pulev will take whats remaining of his soul tonight

You cant run away from pulev hes going to get you at some point joshua and you will run or hold like the mental wimp you are

Have no illusions about Joshua. He will lose again. Not tonight. But he’s no dominant figure

I'm glad Joshua chose to accept his defeat, dust himself off, work on improvement and get back to work, another option is to sack members of his team, accuse them of drugging him, accuse Ruiz of hiding cast iron baths or boat anchors in his gloves, blame what he wore, saying the whole world is racist against him, blame the ref for slow counting or being drunk, blaming baby oil and magic and then go and do some twerking. After his autopsy ofcourse.

That's true but who is in the HW division? Least AJ fights top 10 fighters almost every fight. Of course he's going to to lose a couple more times if he's doing that
