Both Emmanuel Rodriguez & Nonito Donaire are coming off losses to the top three P4P 'Monster' Naoya Inoue in the WBSS : Manny Rod, lost his IBF bantamweight world-title in the semi-final in two rounds, and Nonito Donaire lost the WBA Super-bantamweight title in the 2019 FOTY by decision, in said tournament.

In the quarter-finals, for Manny Rodriguez first IBF title defense, he ( Rodriguez ) faced top ten contender Jason Moloney ; the Australian won on one of the judges scores vs. Manny Rod. Meaning that, it appears that as Rodriguez stepped up in competition he has not been convincing or separated himself above his competitors.

Conversely, Nonito's run back at 118 in the WBSS, in the latter stage of his career, has swayed doubt from most fans into belief in his chances against top contenders and champions at bantamweight.

The Money-Line will be very interesting, a pick'm fight, slightly favoring Donaire, imo.

Donaire has got to be the favorite but Manny won't be easy .

Competitive fight prime Nonito destroys Ridriguez but right now it’s a toss up.

Can you believe that? 38 years old Nonito, coming off a brutal FOTY the favorite against top ten former-world champion in his prime, tens years his junior. You got to love boxing

I agree with Emanuel Rodriguez, that he can't afford to lose back to back fight. Where are his stay busy fights in order to remain sharp, he hasn't fought in over 1 1/2 years. He just doesn't stay active, now he's going to fight Nonito Donaire. Donaire is coming off a sensational although losing effort against Naoya Inoue. If not for the enormous heart that Inoue displayed in coming back, and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat Nonito would've won the title. I mean Nonito really put a hurting on Inoue, even damaging his eye. So I don't understand Emanuel's logic, atlking about Nonito taking to many punches in his fight with Inoue. At least he took the punches, and went the distance. While you got knocked out in 2 rounds by Inoue, and then your counting on Nonito age to hurt him in your fight. Nonito is coming off arguably the best fight of his career. Emanuel better be counting on his skill set's, rather than Nonito's advanced age, or the amount of punches he took in his last fight. If he doesn't, Nonito can lower the boom on him just like Inoue did. I'm hoping that Emanuel wins this fight with Nonito, and gets his career back on track.

This is the same guy that when Luis Nery came in just a pound over 118 he decided not to fight. Wasted an entire camp and missed out of a six figure payday. He should just keep his mouth shut and realize that a victory simply sets up for another KO loss to the monster
