This is very bad and I wish him the best.

But imo the fight was not even at all. Ok, perhaps on points, but Joyce was able to harm Dubois with any punch, while Dubois couldn't shake Joyce even with his best blows.

Dubois had zero head movement. Joyce was able to land that jab at will. Dubois needs better boxing skills - always a problem with fighters who just KO people fast.

Joyce was shaken a few times, early on in the fight he was shaken 'But survived the opening blitz'.

I believe that was the turning point, once Joyce survived the opening rounds 'He then took over with his jab' etc.

Hopefully Dubois can make a full recovery. The takeaways are that he needs to improve on his head movement and needs to work on his own jab and foot movement.

Warren managed him terribly in my opinion. He needed some more seasoning with guys like Hammer, Wach or even an American like Kauffman (before be retired). Strong, durable guys who can give you problems and rounds but not so good that they will starch you out if you make a mistake.

Na his eye definitely looked jacked up he still quit though go watch Erik Morales vs Marcos Maidana you tell me which eye looked worse and my boy Erik still finished the fight and should have won.

Very true, I was saying the same thing about his lack of head movement. And it's not like Joyce is known for his speed but Dubois was there for the jab all night, an adjustment he and his team need to work on.

With a fractured orbital bone and nerve damage, quitting was the smartest thing he could have done in that situation, not worth the risk of being blind for the rest of your life.
