The second-generation boxer and former middleweight titlist was slow out of the gate but eventually pulled through in a 4th round stoppage of Massachusetts-based journeyman Jeyson Minda in their super middleweight affair. Chavez scored knockdowns in rounds two, three and four, the last of which prompted a corner stoppage midway through the 4th round of their main event Friday evening at Parque Revolucin in Chvez's hometown of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico.

Why, why and why? Everybody knows what the outcome of those fights would be and it would be a waste of time for all involved. I wouldn't expect Beterbiev or Smith to lower themselves to that level by obliterating an aging, undisciplined, entitled, non-contender in Chavez. Wilder maybe. He is desperate and mentally unstable.
