The fight remains with Golden Boy, who submitted a winning bid of $427,000 during the session which was held via Zoom conference call and moderated by the World Boxing Organization from its San Juan headquarters.

The new working date for the event is February 6, 2021-on the eve of the Super Bowl-at Fantasy Spring Resort Casino in Indio, California. However, Golden Boy is still firming up that part of the promotion.

For now, the priority was providing Teixiera with the championship treatment he deserves.ian Castano, winning a purse bid hearing held Thursday afternoon. Castano last fought November 2019! Why wait until February 2021 for $100K? I think he could get more than that fighting Fundora on FOX! Risky fight, but more exposure, and probably more money!

Castano will have to dominate from start to finish or stop him and I think he will

It’s not about the money on this one fight. Castano will dominate the Brazilian, winning the WBO title at 154 will place him in a great money fight against Charlo for all the belts. You got to think long term in this business and not one fight at a time

Castano will be lucky if he walks away with 20k

I'm looking forward to this fight whenever it happens a lot of people hate on Teixeira but he's honestly not a bad fighter he had a bad showing against Curtis Stevens but that guy had a punch that could put anybody down at 160. Other than that he was the big prospect out of Brazil and probably their best fighter since Popo Freitas he showed he has some grit in his fight against Adames he definitely won that fight and it could have been stopped. I haven't heard much from Caballo since hopefully he is ok because I didn't like his body language in the last rounds of that fight his legs were gone.

Castano has shown he is durable and world class I think he takes it but I don't think it's going to be easy the rivalry between Brazil and Argentina adds to it a bit too should be a good one.

Excellent matchup here. Winner goes on to possibly face Charlo for all the marbles. This is a deep division.
