He stood right in with Del Boy, who is as heavy as AJ was and was throwing serious leather. Would be a very good fight that I think Usyk can win.
I only said Usyk was cautious because he sat in front of a tired slow flat footed Deli and had him stunned at times and did not capitalize on that. He was either cautious of Del's power even in the latter rounds or he just does not have that killer finisher instinct.

Personally I think AJ would get tired faster. The fight may be similar to what happened when AJ fought Klitschko and AJ would be getting tired early and Usyk has the stamina to keep pushing AJ.

Chisora and Usyk are friends and genuinely like one another

You and many others have overlooked that factor. He did not really get on the gas and that was the reason for it.

That may be true but someone either failed to give Chisora that memo or he forgot because he was swinging like he was trying to chop down some trees.

Oh, I don't think Chisora did or ever intended on taking it easy and of course he even said that before the fight.

Please, enlighten us since you seem to be able to see things that were not visible to the naked eye..

Maybe I'm wrong in saying this...

but maybe Usyk made the Chisora fight look harder than it had to be,
just to bait AJ into a contest where AJ and his handlers will feel safe.

It was quite tense for the first 2 - 3 Rounds for Usyk.
But then he really stung Chisora in the 7th (I think)...no time to finish him off.

Usyk came out in the 8th, did NOT go after Chisora
                  Why? Respected Chisora's power?
Chisora looked drained in the last 4 - 5 Rounds.
Feels like Usyk could have gonje after him. But didn't. Why?
Usyk didn't throw much from 8th to 12th.
Just did enough to win the rounds.

                  That's how I saw it.
Call it crazy theory. But Usyk and his team not AJ is protected species,
and won't take on more risk than they can tolerate.

The 1st Ruiz fight has really shaken AJ.

So then it was only Usyk who was taking it easy on Chisora? Why would Usyk take it easy on his opponent if that same guy is trying to knock his head off?
