Not sure a fighter really cares if there are people in attendance or not. When I had a fight I rarely ever heard anything the crowd chanted or even my corner's instructions. Maybe that is just me but I tend to block out any outside noise and concentrate on the opponent in the ring because after all, that guy wants to knock my head off so it was my job to do the same to him or suffer the consequences.
