Comments Thread For: Murat Gassiev Ends Two-Year Wait Saturday With Heavyweight Debut

The last time we saw Murat Gassiev under the limelight, he was attempting to become a cruiserweight kingpin against Oleksandr Usyk in the World Boxing Super Series final. Everything has seemingly gone bad for Gassiev ever since that day on July 21, 2018.

Gassiev is done. He wasted two years and now fights a SECOND replacement and has a court case hanging above his head.

I didn't realize this guy was a 5'11 cruiserweight. Figured he was some old fat heavyweight and it would be similar to Usyk Witherspoon but this is far worse even.

          He's also 43!

An old fat cruiserweight journeyman, what a great choice for a heavyweight debut.

Hah yeah the odds are just disgusting. Why even handicap this fight... jesus

                -10000 or 100/1 favorite lol...

conversely for the poor old dog

+1400 or 14/1. Even at 50/1 I doubt many would put a 5er on this guy to win, hoping Gassiev gets injured and can't continue or some freak occurrence thing like that.
