Yeah, well Gatti is in the HOF so...

IMO, Loma's legacy depends 100% on whether he can get a rematch with Lopez. He can only redeem himself by reversing that outcome. Otherwise, he was just an elite fighter in his day.

The boxing hall of fame seems to be different than the other sports. Greatness is sometimes overlooked for other attributes. Does Gatti deserve to be in? Not based solely on his record. Loma has only 16 pro fights but he did beat Russell in his third fight. Is Loma an ATG? Certainly not yet!
