Comments Thread For: Teofimo Lopez: Every Time Loma Wanted To Throw - I Had Something Ready

There is a new undisputed lightweight king. Teofimo Lopez toppled Vasiliy Lomachenko by unanimous decision in a superstar-making performance Saturday evening from the MGM Grand Conference Center, and in doing so, he became the youngest undisputed champion (23) in the four-belt era.

That's what was keeping lomas hands back. Every time he started to throw Lopez would throw a sharp right or uppercut that would either land or make Loma back away.

Partly yes, also Teo has a clear reach advantage and he did a good job keeping Loma from slipping to the outside under jab. First half Loma wasn´t willing to pay the price to get to his own range and that cost him the fight.

        Facts.

He proved it and has earned all the credit for executing it.

        Big win for Teo

Yep... Nakatani put on a better show. Just playing but Teofimo power must be legit because Loma did not want to engage until the 7th round. What the hell was he thinking ? I am a fan of Loma and wanted him to win but honestly I couldn’t give him more than 4 rounds. But. F# uck it let’s even give 5 rounds but how some Loma fans are giving Him the win Is mind blowing. In the 12th round He was 2 punches away from it being a 10-8 round.

I’m known to talk S#hit about a fighter but if he makes me a believer with his ability against a fighter that I consider worthy then I give him his dues and say I was wrong .I have no qualms with that . So Lopez has the noelanthony seal of approval

Was painful as a Loma fan. Lopez is the TRUTH. Completely outclassed Loma who had no answers.

And fk.. he is just 23. Would like to see how he does against a Josh Taylor or may be Prograis.

Both guys looked sharp in there it was top rank boxing. Haha see what I did there?

They both performed well, it’s just that Lopez performed better. What impressed me the most with Lopez, at no point did he get greedy because he knew the type of boxer Lomachenko is. That, and he did real good work to the body. The speed that Lopez had threw Lomachenko off I don’t think Loma realized how fast Lopez would be.

They obviously wasn't watching the same fight as we were and yes, another 30 seconds and I think Loma would have touched canvas.
