What does everybody think of him? And who respects him in here?
Been about 4 months since i was on this site and had to dig this up.
We all know that after Tito , Vargas was never the same. Even in the DLH fight. I have the utmost respect for anyman who steps into the ring against Winky , Ike and Tito all in the same year.

Yes i do think he was damaged goods after the Trinidad fight. But we have to respect this guy. Champion at 21. Beat Winky in a mixed decision. Was on top on the score cards according to boxrec before he got knocked out to De La Hoya and Mosley twice. People need to realise watching him fight Mayorga, is Vargas past his prime. We need to respect him definetely. Because he has never been scared of taking the big fights.

Vargas did some amazing accomplishment. But his attuide what took him down.

I think if he boxed more he would have had a longer career but he wasnt smart with it.

He had the tool to box Tito as will as a chin to withstand couple of his shots and power to back him off and KO him.

sometimes pride takes over a boxers career making him finish a career in a bad way

I've never hated Vargas, and I've always respected him !
And he will always be one of my favorites .. Same goes for Zab Judah..
That's why it makes me sad to see their fights knowing that they are both wasted talent.
