Kazuto Ioka and Kosei Tanaka will both look to end a year-long layoff with a head-on collision to help ring in the new year. Reports from Japan have indicated that a deal has been reached for the pair of multi-division champions to meet in a New Year's Eve title fight. A location in Japan has not yet been established-or at least revealed-for the occasion, which will come December 31 and with Ioka's World Boxing Organization (WBO) junior bantamweight title at stake.
